Since we don’t have a production under way at the moment, we are launching a series of workshops. They will take place on Wednesdays, probably every two weeks. First off is a play reading, Lunch Girls, by Ron Hart. See the listing under “What’s on” for more information.
We’ll certainly be doing more play readings to broaden our knowledge, maybe choose a play for production and, of course, have fun. But the plan is to cover some other theatre-related activities. Perhaps a simple introduction to lighting, something on voice production, dancing if anyone fancies being a choreographer, basic make-up techniques – whatever we fancy. It’s up to all of us to come up with ideas and (preferably) be prepared to contribute actively.
All are welcome to attend these evenings; you don’t have to be a member of Tagora in any formal sense. But for security reasons we do need to know in advance the name of anyone who doesn’t have a badge to get into the Council of Europe buildings. (Until further notice we have decided not to trust the “floating badge” system. Several people had difficulties obtaining one during the last few rehearsals of Cherry Orchard.) So if you want to come along, get in touch with Tagora at least 48 hours in advance. The contact page here, or a message on the Facebook page, are the best options.
