Live theatre, in English, in Strasbourg

Tagora is pleased to announce a reading and audition for our production of Betrayal by Harold Pinter, directed by Rob Simmons.

Betrayal is a play for three people of similar age, two men and a woman. It revolves around faithfulness, trust and the breach of that trust within a marriage and a friendship. It is quite a text-heavy play, but the themes that the play discusses are universal and timeless. Its unique structure and storytelling mean that it will be an exciting challenge for all of us!

The reading and audition will take place in the rehearsal room in the basement of the Palais de l’Europe on two dates: Tuesday 22 November and Friday 25 November, at 18.30 in each case.

Anyone from outside the Council who needs a badge for access should contact Tagora as soon as possible, and by Wednesday 16 November evening at the latest. If you are unavailable on those dates but are interested in participating, please also get in touch. Participants do not need to come prepared with a speech or text, but should be ready to use their improvisational skills!

The play will be performed at the Cube Noir from 9 to 12 March 9th 2023, and rehearsals are tentatively planned for Tuesday evenings from 18.00 until 20.00, with a potential regular weekend rehearsal to be arranged.
