Lieu d’Europe
From 1 to 31 May the Lieu d’Europe is celebrating the continent with the Fête de l’Europe. Among the events scheduled is “L’Europe en musique”, which will take place on Sunday 22 May from midday to 18:00. Anouk Brocard, who is responsible for cultural projects in the city of Strasbourg, has invited Tagora to participate. FEATS in Frankfurt, June 2017

FEATS is the Festival of European Anglophone Theatrical Societies. It’s a competitive festival of short plays in English. Tagora is one of the participating groups; but since only twelve of the thirty or so groups in the FEATS community perform each year, we have had to wait our turn recently; our last involvement was in Luxembourg in 2014. The names of the groups competing in FEATS 2015 in Hamburg will soon be known. It’s no secret that Tagora won’t be among them this time; we can’t take part every year. But there will still be lots to see and do for those who want to go. FEATS 2015 takes place in Hamburg, from 22 to 25 May 2015. The theatre is in Altona, a lively, attractive district of the city. And what about the FEATS fringe?

As announced below, Tagora’s entry for FEATS 2014 in Luxembourg is decided and largely cast. But in addition to the competitive festival, held over four evenings in Luxembourg, there will also be fringe entertainment, for which the invitation is still open. See the FEATS Web site for more information – and if you feel inspired, make your ideas known. Tagora has never been in the fringe and maybe this year could be the first time.

In for a Penny …

Tagora’s contribution to FEATS 2014 will be Simon Palmer’s short play, The Virtue of Pretty Penny, or, A Vile Murder Foil’d. Those who came to our pre-Christmas variety show, La Belle Époque, have already had a chance to enjoy this allegorical verse melodrama, and we are sure it will go down well with the FEATS audience.
