On Wednesday, 14 September, Tagora will be participating in a celebration of two great European renaissance dramatists who died 400 years ago this year: Miguel de Cervantes and William Shakespeare. The celebration is being held at the initiative of the Austrian Consulate General in Strasbourg. Tagora’s contribution will, as might be expected, concentrate on Shakespeare, examining in speech and song his treatment of some themes significant to today’s Europeans. Auditions will be held some time in September. Watch this space. Our colleague, Aygen Becquart, proposes to stage her self-penned play A Game of Honesty. Tagora members and friends are warmly invited to the launch party for M. Soul’s new album. Canadian singer Marcel Soulodre, alias M. Soul, is a staunch friend and supporter of Tagora, and manages to attend most of our productions despite his own performing commitments.
