Our friend David-Michel Muller, when not photographing our productions, has also been known to take to the stage himself. Now David, Joan Ott and the troupe La Dorée are producing a “comedy of anticipation”, Mnemosis, at the Pilier des arts in Rosheim and later at the Cube noir in Koenigshoffen. NTLive: Hamlet

The Odyssée cinema’s season of filmed productions by London’s National Theatre continues with Hamlet. Following his celebrated performances at the National Theatre in Burnt by the Sun, The Revenger’s Tragedy, Philistines and The Man of Mode, Rory Kinnear plays Hamlet in a dynamic production of Shakespeare’s complex and profound play about the human condition, directed by Nicholas Hytner. Free concert in the Palais de l’Europe

The Council of Europe Amicale is organising a charity concert for the benefit of victims of the recent floods in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Serbia. Several members of Tagora are bringing their talent to the occasion, among them Andy, Doris, Isabelle, Marise and Simon. It’s on Friday 21 November. Admission is free, but there will be a collection. Swiss roles

Our neighbours in Basel, the English-speaking theatre group Semi-Circle, are producing an evening of short plays and sketches. The programme includes David Tristram’s Late Entry, a spoof of theatre festivals and the adjudication system. Many of us will remember Tagora’s very enjoyable production of this two-hander, featuring Elena Malagoni and Richard Thayer, a few years ago in Strasbourg and the FEATS festival.
